Testimony

Further to my accident in November 1999 (T12-L1, compression), I had my first Laserponcture session in June 2000. Right after the session, I could immediately contract a muscle in my right thigh voluntarily.

When I began laserponcture, I used to go three times a week but now I go once every three months because my body recovers and cannot receive as much energy as before and produces it more and more itself. Before I could not feel anything, now I am aware of my whole body. I can feel it. The feelings and sensations recovered are exactly the same as before.

When standing or leaning, I can feel the weight of my body in my legs and feet, I can make out if it is the right or left one. Sensibility in my joints is back too. My feet are not flat any more but look like their initial shape. Sweating, goose bumps, hot and cold feelings are back too.

Regarding motricity, nothing happened in the very beginning. Today I have recovered the functions. The more I recover, the more physical exercises I do although I now know when I get tired. The muscle mass on my legs builds up and my legs look like they are very much alive – something one can see.

I can ride a stationary bike, my legs pushing on the pedals. I can walk with braces and a walker. I can walk in a pool with a water noodle under my arms, my legs moving better and better, more precisely and are more fluid. My body straightens up and my pelvis too. Because of the sitting position in the wheelchair, a curve appeared in my lower back but no more now. I work in the parallel bars with weights attached to my ankles.

I can move my legs forward, backward, and on the sides. My legs weight-bear more and more, they have more strength, become gradually more resistant.

Laserponcture has helped me to reach a great deal of independence in my daily activities and go beyond the awful downheartening views about being wheelchair bound for the rest of my life, which I heard when initially injured. My body is still alive, new things come back on a regular basis. It is a real process of recovery and my wish for the laserponcture technique is to be available to the greatest number of people.

Yours faithfully.
